I'm a bit confused as i browse the web. i want to find a door for the side entry to my house. Just looking for something that's half or 3/4 glass, to let light in. online it seems like there's just entry doors, not split by front door or side doors.

does anyone understand what i mean? lol
What would be the difference. An entry door is a entry door no matter where on the house. Go to Lowes, type in entry doors.

Do a search for exterior steel doors and all the manufacturers will come up. Your local lumber yard along with HD and Lowe's will have them on display too. Here's a few from Jeld-Wen & Therma-Tru.Therma-Tru has several 1/2 glass available.
You want exterior entry doors. They vary in size. You will want to measure your current door so you know what size to look for. Generally "front" doors are 36 inches in width. Side doors, back doors etc may run between 32 - 36 inches. Hope that helps.
thanks. yeah i saw Jeld-Wen. I am gonna go to a local hardware store. I just don't trust Home Depot on a lot of these things. I know even the big vendors make junky versions for us all to buy.
I would strongly caution against a regular "hardware store" and recommend going to actual lumber yard / building products jobber. Not only is the specialized knowledge of how to measure for jamb offsets, hinge spacing and top bevel / sweep cut out far more likely to be found at a specialized shop, and understanding of lead times and best pricing options are often found at specialized suppliers.
