Have any of you done this?
I have seen Select Blinds (with some good prices), American Blinds and Blinds.com. We are getting closer to the date that we will be closing on our home and we are getting to the time to order the blinds that way we can install them before we move in.
TIA!
As long as you order standard sizes that are in stock. Do not try to order custom sizes. I've had good experience with on line ordering of blinds. They are standard size and the quality was fine. I got the 2 inch wood blinds from Domestications. Custom measure would be difficult to return if you do not get it right. If non-standard size, get them locally and have them done professionaly.
I just used blinds chalet dot com and they were wonderful! Custom sized and tons of colors available. I have a 72" wide window in the kitchen that I wanted one large blind on, rather than two smaller ones....and that was not easy to find. I found the prices to be very reasonable and we are very happy with the outcome.
We ordered all our new blinds for our new house from Select blinds - they are awesome - just measure carefully and double check how you enter the measurements! We got cellular (double) and several black out double cell blinds - love them! We had no problems at all with ordering them custom sized and I would NEVER pay the price many local places charge.

Do your cellulars feel like paper or an actual fabric?
JCPenney online. Most standard sizes for the 2" faux wood blinds are around $30 each. Couple that with free shipping or their discount codes that always come out (15% or 20% off), and you can't beat it. Only thing we don't like about their basic 2" blinds is the fact that they do not come with valences, so the top rack's components are more exposed, but they still look fine...especially if you are getting curtains as a top treatment.
