When we had various people over to look at our problem (still unresolved), one guy bent over and tasted the water to determine whehter it was ground water, storm/sewer or potable water.

He declared it to taste like ground water and said he is never wrong, each has a distinctive taste (not kidding?).

I would not want to be his apprentice.
