i had an LG and will never own another front loader. The motor went out after two years and the replacement motor went out a year later. Fought with smell constantly. Seemed like no matter what I did I couldnt stop it from smelling bad. Replaced it with a Maytag top loader and couldnt be happier. (the matching LG dryer has been money though)

Not much of a choice - I used the service I always have used for appliance repair for the past 30 yrs. I suspect it is the brand that drives the price of the replacement part. Same problem as when I had my Lincoln repaired. Now I drive Fords. I guess I should buy a Kmart washer next time??
