Double wall stove pipe to the ceiling support box and triple wall from there, thru the ceiling and up 4 1/2 feet above roof.

It's a good idea to used the oven thermometer on the stove top, though.

That's a good question. . . .and while i'm not sure what exactly the answer is, i would guess that the manufacturer wants the wood stove set to the same grounding potential as the metal frame underneath the floor.
