I thought this would help others. our Craftsman garage door blinks 10 times while trying to close it and it does not close unless you hold the wall button down until it closes.

On closer inspection, I found that one of the sensor was not firmly tight and had to tighten the screw that holds it. There are two sensors at the bottom of the steel rail which detects if there is an obstruction to the door.

Yep, happens to me about once a month when the kids bang into one of those sensors with their bikes or scooters.
