gemini system 4-5 years old but it has never been activated. For two nights he has gone off and nothing I do will stop it. It finally goes off by itself. Tonight i heard a few little battery chirps and then it went off again. So should I take a hammer to it? how to stop it. pets and all of us going crazy.
If it is not in use, then you can simply disconnect the alarm/siren/loud sound making component by disassembling it to the point of observing the wires leading into the the component and unplugging them or whatever.
Battery chirps generally come from the main control box and are emanated through the keypad component via a tiny speaker. Open up the main control box and you will see a battery similar to a small car battery. Disconnect that and there will be no more battery chirps.
thanks folks. DH got back in town in time to dissemble the darn thing after kids and I had to listen to it for 3 hours. We did find some ear plugs but the pets are all bug eyed and jittery.
