EVERYTHING that's outside and in " public " areas of the house.

I'm hosting a party this weekend, it's good incentive to get stuff done .

Several weeks ago, I took a bunch of measurements to have pull out shelves & drawers custom made for my irregularly shaped pantry. I e been tripping over the completed shelves/drawers for the past week.

God willing, I'll find the time this weekend to empty the pantry and get them installed.

That'll be a niiiiice pantry when that's done. I'm stuck with old fashioned cupboards with a stationary shelf that's stuffed so full, I've gotta pull every thing else out to get at what I need.

I'm excited. My pantry is actually pretty small - it's very deep and very tall, but extremely narrow -- so this is going to make the space actually usable. I would LOVE to have one of those gorgeous walk in pantries like you see in magazines like Real Simple.

This weekend? Go use my birthday gift certificate for driving a Nascar car at MIS, at least 160 MPH - or bust!

Hate sanding drywall, it gives me the shivers. At least I finally learned to use a sanding pole and screen rather than holding sandpaper in my hand. (Shudder just to think about it).

I finished installing a new light fixture in the living room yesterday. Looks great! Got the bedroom fixture half installed and found I was missing a couple nuts, so went to the hardware store and got some this morning. Now I just have to get off the computer so I can turn the power off again to finish installation.

Very annoying, cuz I could have finished yesterday and gotten the ladder out of the house if I just had the right parts. Oh well, it'll feel really good to have it done.

Curious minds need to know -- did you hit 160?

Wry, did you finish the pantry? I'd love to see a photo or two!!

I got rid of a big, unwieldy, floral sofabed this weekend ... I'd bought it back in '07 but had never used it as a bed (its mattress was still wrapped in plastic!) and at this point it was just taking up space that I needed for other things. I tried to sell it on Craigslist (cheap) but had no takers 'til today ... but I'd already promised it to someone who contacted me via Freecycle. Oh well, I wasn't asking for much in terms of $ on Craigslist, and the Freecycle couple saved me from having to rent a van to take it to the dump (where I would have had to pay 10 cents a pound to dump it). The Freecycle couple was very appreciative and chatty ... we talked about gardening for a little while.

The TV/junk room now looks SO uncluttered!! I will be moving my treadmill in there 'til I figure out a way to get it down to the basement , where the rest of the exercise equipment is.

I have also moved a TON of stuff out of the garage in anticipation of getting 8 tons of pellets (should last me 2 winters) and actually being able to park my car in there this coming winter!! Yay!!
