I have an outdoor table that I want to stain. This table will be exposed to the elements. I would like to stain it in black. Can someone recommend a great outdoor stain that will give me a nice black color?

TWP 1500
1504 Black Walnut

It's not just the stain you have to worry about, you have to have a good sealer to go with or combined with.
TWP is the best sealer/preservative on the market. I recommend no other manufacturer to my H/O's.

Black Walnut may not be like Ebony (MinWax), but it's pretty dark. Two coats will make it darker. Or you could do a combination of the Ebony color MinWax stain and the Black Walnut TWP. Whatever you do; if you want it to last, use TWP!

I'll 2nd the TWP. Sherwin Williams makes a decent black stain (DeckScapes) for the money as well.

I hope it's not a picnic table you're doing. Black gets awfully hot in the sun and will be uncomfortable on your butt.

For furniture that you wish to have the grain of the wood very visible you really ought to use a dye -- typically the best color comes from dyes that you get as a powder and then mix with water. You can then put on rubber gloves, grab a sponge and work the dye into the table. One of the more widely distributed brands -- wooddye

Once the dye is dry you can top it with standard clear finishes to increase the durability / UV resistance
