It sounds like you have improper ventilation. Perhaps the exhaust to the hood vent is restricted (I've seen some that don't vent at all). I know many families who cook their more "fragrant" foods in an outdoor kitchen while making the rest of the meal inside (probably not possible during the winter in NJ).
My house is an open floor plan, but I have a 4 awning windows, 2 french double-doors in the kitchen, a powerful range hood, and a 1,450 CFM whole house fan…odors be damned.
aw hell Ive just bought one the same price and it does need new filters... does this one work in the car or is it too big... I bought mine to try and help with the new car smell..
Saw this tip on youtube.... keep all your orange peel and put in a jar then pour on a cheap vinegar to cover , leave for a week then pour the liquid into a spray bottle... kills germs fast and if you have food droppings in your oven.... shake on some baking soda then spray the vinegar solution, it fizzes up. leave for ten mins or more then wipe off... great wee tip..
I hate frying anything inside the house, I just can't stand that "greasy" smell that lingers afterwards. When I bought my gas grill I made sure to get one with a side burner, so when I need to fry something I can do it outside.
