In the eastern suburbs of Baltimore there are 2 or 3 developments of manufactured homes like immobile mobile homes. My sister-in-law lives in one and she claims to have been quoted $800 for a kitchen faucet. Are these fixtures any different than those in a real house? I think there might be some hardware in the house made for trailers but why should faucets be any different. With her, though, there may be a credibility problem.

I think someone is trying to take advantage. I spent about $200 on my Moen faucet, and installed it myself. Sounds like $600 for labor is a bit high.

Do you know what specific faucet? What finish and features? Does the $800 include labor?

Too hard to know without more details...

Faucets cost anywhere from $20 to 600. Generally in mobile homes they use the cheap plastic that is coated in chrome which is about the $20 variety. A Plumber should charge about $150 labor plus the faucet. Don't let that guy rip you off.

Somebody smells a sucker. The fittings on the end of the pex are completely standard fittings.

Yes, that is a special made all plastic, premium brand from a foreign country, and only can fit her sink, and comes with a 10 yr warranty,, cost more to ship than build.

She is being taken.. A new good faucet is around 80 dollars, installation from a licensed plumber should be no more 120.00. I honestly do not see what some plumbing contractors are doing out there or how they can even sleep at night with what some are charging.. It is insane!!!

I agree with everything you said. Probably because you are right. It's idiots like that who make a bad name for the rest of us.

I recently installed one for a friends kitchen sink, a new Delta faucet from Lowe's and the cost was $59.95 with a mfg lifetime guarantee. Took about an hour to take out the old and install the new. They are not difficult. I charged her 2 beers.

Come over and install a faucet for me, and I'll give you a whole six-pack.

I installed the same one as nitram in my kitchen a few months ago. So easy. The hard part was getting my butt in and out of the cabinet.
