thanks all....apparently 1st instinct was right....door got left open a bit....it is working. But at least it got a good cleaning to the back!

Hi K'ledgeBldr - Thanks for the information and I know how I got this mixed up. I did get the "Twin Cooling System" (Samsung) mistaken with a two compressor frig. The reason why is because in our last house we had a Vestfrost of Denmark (formerly known as Conserv) and that is what had two compressors. I just confirmed that on their website. When we were buying appliances for this house we didn't have the extra money for the Vestfrost so we got the Samsung (because of it's Twin Cooling System). However, when we move one last time we are definitely going back to the Vestfrost - we loved it for many reasons.

Glad for your good news! You made me think to test my door alarms. The alarms usually go off when I'm loading the groceries (I'm just not fast enough), but I never thought to check for that teeny-weeny door ajar position. Thanks!
