My house has that style fence. I think it's great. No rot no flexiblecwood to deal with. Vanilla fence looks crappy and cheap to me. And this fencing you can diy. Block fence requires a mason.

I just heard about translucent concrete. Beautiful but probably expensive. I watched the video to see how it's made (it's in German but you can see the process). Very labor intensive and looks like all custom work. Would be good in a bathroom.

You can buy molds for making a similar precast concrete fence. The textures and look can vary. One source I am aware of is Greentec Construction Technologies (https://greentecct.com/).

Quite a few homes in the Miami area have this sort of fence, some exactly like it, they range from a few hundred thousand dollar house to 10's of millions of dollars, though it is mostly the more expensive homes that have it.

I like it, love walls around the house. Every house should have one if possible.
