We had this. The control circuit was fused.

Yes, you need an HVAC guy to find out for sure.

I switched the breaker off let the fan stop completely flipped the breaker back on and it stayed off until the thermostat told it to turn on again. This worked a couple of times but now that quick fix doesn't work. Now we have to leave the breaker off until it is getting cold and we need the heater again

Seems like a real pain compared to having it fixed. Probably is one of the relays; sometimes they're socketed and replaceable, sometimes you have to do the whole board.

I replaced my thermostat on second floor and it doesn't shut off heat. The first n third floor work. I have to shut off boiler switch to stop he heat from coming out. What could it be.third time I replaced thermostat.

What other reason would cause heat to not shut off on one level of house

My furnace would not shut off. Gets up tp 90 degree. I have disconnected the stat and had to flip braker to shut off. Had electrician to come because when i flipped braker on it sizzled. Replaced braker and one next to it as it got hot also. Was working fine. Next morning again woke up to 90 in house. Shut braker off again. Replaced stat. Now furnace will not come back on. Getting cold again. Please help. No body to call on.
