I wear socks on my hardwoods or just barefoot.

usually I go barefoot. If for some reason the floor is really cold on a winter morning, I'll wear some slipper socks

For some reason i would prefer tile over hardwood.
1. Tiles offer a wide variety of designs.
2. For heaven sake stop differentiating for maintenance, you are not going to roll over a metal or iron rod in your house.
3. I admit that the installation of hardwood is easier and cost efficient as compared to granite tiles.
Tiles are usually for those people who have a lot of time and are house frenzy over the looks and designs.
For people like us, hardwood is anytime better
