It's probably a scam.

I know who died in my house. I don't want to spend the money to prove the site has no idea who died in my house.

I saw a story about this on Drudge. They seem to be serious. The website is trying to spin it like Carfax, saying you should ask for a Diedinhouse report from the seller/realtor or "discreetly"get it on your own before purchasing a home.

I know someone died in my house. I don't need to spend $11.99 to find out.

Nobody died in my house (well, at least not that the authorities heard about), but what about the land? Does this site cover deaths on previous houses, deaths on the land when it was unbuilt, former graveyard sites, ancient Indian burial grounds? And what about pets?

The whole thing is ridiculous, IMO.

it built in 2005, we are the first to live in the house....

I live in an apartment building that was built 1925, I know for a fact that many people have died here, def my apartment, I know it, I feel it, Ive seem apparations......but she is a nice ghost, she likes me.

Also my friend downstairs had asked me years ago, Hey, did someone ever die in my apartment?, I asked what made you ask that?, she said, I feel something always watching over me, but in a good way...I can't place it.

I had to tell her the truth, Mary, the wonderful old Italian lady slipped in the bathroom and died in the bathtub, Her daughter found her the next day when she didn't answer the phone.............................

so it does happen

Yep.
My house was built in 1958 and there used to be four houses on my half-acre property. And this area was at one time inhabited by Native Americans and who-all knows who in the centuries before that. Then this was early-settler farmland, and then land owned by General Motors who built tracts of houses for GM workers. The only deaths that could be found by public record searches and over the centuries most deaths were not recorded into a computer-searchable database. So the whole premise is really quite silly.

I pretty much assume that at least one person has died on my property over the years, and it doesn't bother me one bit. Certainly not enough to spend $11.99.

What an odd service; I wonder what sort of people actually pay for this?

My husband's uncle died in one of our bedrooms. He pulled a chest of drawers down on top of himself while having a heart attack 40 years ago. I don't need to have a report to prove that. If someone is afraid to buy my house because of that, I suspect they have some serious issues. In the 30 years my husband has lived here and the 20 years I have lived here, nothing has gone bump in the night.

People who believe in spirits, ghosts, and bad karma.

There's certainly a market (even if it's not accurate), but there's no way it will become as widely used as carfax.
