Durham's Water Putty- love that stuff!
It's great for doing repairs; like large nail holes, gouges, tearout, splintering, etc.- on INTERIOR trim. For large surface area repairs, Bondo works great- again for INTERIOR surfaces.
For small nail holes in trim (like newly installed)- painter's putty works well and is fast.

For the EXTERIOR- Synko Exterior Spackle Paste
