I bought a GE model yesterday. It gets good reviews and has the dual lights like I was looking for.

We had a builder grade white ge in my rental townhouse. I thought it was fine and it lasted at least 7 years (we only lived there for 1.5 years)

I have a new stainless LG microwave, and the light is very bright. I wish I had gotten a different brand though because the vent fan is VERY loud (and very strong) and there is no timer function. I was pretty disappointed after installing it to find out it didn't have a timer for cooking. I ended up buying a $1 magnetic timer for the fridge.

I have a GE Profile combination microwave/convection oven. It solved a lot of issues for us:

It has two or three setting for lights over the range. More than adequate with the under cabinet LED lighting on either side of the range top.

We did not have space for two ovens, so the 'convection' side of the Microwave is our second oven.

The Micro came with the option to vent it to the outside. It works well for this, but I have to say that it does allow cold air to backdraft into the microwave cabinet which means you have to give your early more zap jobs a few extra seconds to account for the coolness inside the cabinet.

Been very happy with the unit thus far--nearly two years. Cooks well in either mode, looks god, vents well, and provides adequate lighting.
