I need to find a light to go over my kitchen table in the eat-in kitchen.
I already have pendant lights for over the peninsula, however, the matching chandelier for the dining table is no longer being made....so I have to find something that looks like it goes with my pendant lights.
I have attached a picture of the pendants over my peninsula and a picture of the chandelier I found that may match? what do you think? Is there anything you think would match better?
My only other choice is buying more pendant lights and hanging them close together over the table, but I dont think that will look right.
I agree that they are "complimentary" to each other. Frankly too many times when folks go with real hard core "everything from the same line of fixtures" styles it ends up looking less good than when folks choose things that "go together".
The chandelier is a bit more modern / edgy in design and the etched glass pendents seem to look better "on" as it adds dimension but overall this should be a nice combination assuming the rest of the decor is along the lines of contemporary ...
The pendants seem more suitable for a bathroom (to me). The lacy edging is decidedly feminine. Sorry not fond of either of the pendants...love the chandelier.
Thanks for the input. I really LOVE the chandelier too but wanted to be sure it would look okay with the pendants since we already have those. I agree they can look a bit bathroomish, but it goes with out color scheme and contemporary look quite nicely.
We have parchment colored cabinetry, white countertop, and a glass tile and stone backsplash with whites, and pale greens/blues.
Both would look fine with the pendants. I agree you need a rectangular table for the second one. The first one can go over any shape table.
