People who understand electrical wiring also know about DANGEROUS situations - people being electrocuted - people dying in fires which had an electrical source.

Modern appliances have built-in safety devices which are there to protect your life, your family's life, the lives of your neighbors if you live in an apartment complex or high rise building, and the lives of someone who may buy the appliance from you used.

History is FILLED with electrical disasters - many people and small children being killed due to unsafe electrical devices or wiring. No knowledgeable electrical person would knowingly advise someone on how to defeat electrical safety devices!

Perhaps we care about you and your family?

Where is the ethical problem in helping me to fix one device rather than create more waste and spend more money to buy a new one ? Unless you work for a corporate who has interests in selling more heaters.
I don't work for a "corporate" with interest in heaters. I just can't justify helping someone kill themself and others by negligence.
