What is the hole drain on exterior curb wall called? I have a stone wall curb around my driveway and front yard and every time it heavily rains, there is a small area of wetness in my basement. I think it's because there is no drain on the curb wall so the water pressure build up. So I am thinking to make a hole drain on the wall. Could someone let me know how to do it or what the hole called maybe I can search tutorial on youtube.
The stone curb wall I am talking about is something like this
"Adding" a weep hole maynot be the best solution depending on how the wall was built. If it doesn't have drainage aggregate behind it you can actually cause more damage.
It's called a weep hole.
It's usually added to relive the water pressure on the wall to allow water to drain from behind the wall
It's usually used for the health and structure of the wall. Stops it from bowing outward
I think it would be a streatch to say that is causing your basement wetness problem.
In your basement, look for cracks in the floor, as the water table rises in a heavy rain, it gets above the floor level outside. and seeps in thru any crack it finds
If it doesn't have drainage aggregate behind it you can actually cause more damage.
Listen to the man.
