Buy a mid sized squeegie (sp) like you clean car windshields off with. Every time somebody showers tell them they MUST squeegie down the walls and glass doors. Worked for us quite well never had to use cleaners on it after that much either. I kept it hanging in the shower so no excuses "I forgot to get it".

Worked at a coffee cafe in high school we just put crushed ice in the coffee pots with a dab of water. Swished around then rinsed well with hot water all the residue came right out without using cleaners.

Jaxson -- I also recall doing that at a place i worked too.

but -- also the owner never 'cleaned' the actual pots, and they became so filled/corroded with lime and calcium - the pots eventually did not make coffee very well, as in slowly, over flowing [since it was so slow, he kept adding more water]

it would be a nightmare when the 6am crowd came in for coffee and we couldnt keep up with the demand.

so -- along with cleaning the decanter, you have to keep the pot [maker] clean too.

These might be posted but too many pages to read through...in reading the last few pages:

Cleaning a coffee pot and the coffeemaker: run though a mix of 1/2 white vinegar and 1/2 water (you can reuse it if you need to run it through again).

Fabric Softener: liquid, use a bit in water and put your wet paint brushes in, the paint will sink to the bottom - MUCH easier then to clean the brushes.

Well. I didnt know this:

Bet you'll go to your kitchen to check this one out. I did.

Whoever looks at the end of your aluminum foil box? What a fantastic idea.

I’ve been using aluminum foil for more years than I care to remember. Great stuff, but sometimes it can be a pain. You know, like when you are in the middle of doing something and you try to pull some foil out and the roll comes out of the box. Then you have to put the roll back in the box and start over. The darn roll always comes out at the wrong time.

Well, I would like to share this with you. Yesterday I went to throw out an empty Reynolds foil box and for some reason I turned it and looked at the end of the box. And written on the end it said, “Press here to lock end”. Right there on the end of the box is a tab to lock the roll in place. How long has this little locking tab been there? I then looked at a generic brand of aluminum foil and it had one, too. I then looked at a box of Saran wrap and it had one too! I can’t count the number of times the Saran warp roll has jumped out when I was trying to cover something up.

I’m sharing this with my friends hoping that they did not know this already and have been suffering for years like I have :-). If you already know this, delete this message and don’t e-mail me and make me feel dumber than I already feel. If you didn’t know this, e-mail me and let me know so I won’t feel so dumb.

I hope I’m not the only person that didn’t know about this.

Heck, no! I never saw that tab! Well, who knew . . . for years, I have ripped off a piece of foil and out comes the roller!!!

I am so glad you posted this little tip. I am gonna tell all my friends, too. My DS is gonna love this one, too as he grills out and I have seen him lose a roll out in the yard, LOL.

Thank you so much, Motormaker!

Remove blood from clothing and upholstery by pouring Peroxide on the stain, blotted the stain, then launder.
