I live in an older 200-unit apartment building, which they switched from A/C to heat a few weeks ago. Haven't had to turn on the heat until a few days ago...however, the heater is not blowing hot air....just...air. I requested maintenance on this in which they only changed the air filter. However, haven't had any hot air since. Is this a unit or building issue?? So frustrating!

Reason: Misspelling
Grab your lease. Look for the section on requesting service. Foillow what it says as it says. Give them a reasonable time to make repairs. If they fail to make the repair, grab your state Landlord Tenant laws and read about repairs an any remedy you have. Follow the options exactly as the law states.
If the entire building is heated by means of 1 common boiler and the boiler and/or pump was the source of trouble, then your neighbors would have the same problem as you.
Either way, the problem and solution rests with the manager.
