A friend of mine worked at a restaraunt with a lot of mirrors and she reccommended using coffee filters rather than paper towels/newsprint since they work very well and don't leave streaks.
Coffee filters for the final polish absolutely. The slight coarseness picks up Everything and leaves nothing but clean glass and your smiling face.
I use windex and newspaper. I tried the microfiber towels, but they too still leave lint on my mirrors. They seem to stay cleaner (catching less dust) with the windex & newspaper method
Any cleaning products are advisable but try to use vinegar. Just put straight white vinegar, or you can mix it with a little water, in a spray bottle, spray it right on the mirror or glass, and wipe it off with paper towels. I have even used newspapers to wipe it off. I learned this because I got a parrot and they are very sensitive to the vapours of household cleaners, so this was a natural alternative. When I tried it, it worked better than any cleaner I had ever bought from the store. Cheaper too!
Goodluck
I have to update this post. I have to share what I have found and been using for 2 years now.
I am always getting positive points for this post. So I wanted to update and share on what I have found that absolutely works the best for me since I first posted this question regarding cleaning mirrors.
