hello

i was wondering if anyone could tell me the approximate cost estimate to have an electrician replaced cadet heaters that have been found to be under mandatory recall

cost estimate = cost of new cadet heaters + electrician installation cost

just want to make sure what i should expect when calling around.

will the following estimate be realistic

let's assume a total of 3 cadet heaters to be replaced to be easy.

is it safe to assume the following?

3 * $75 = material cost
4* $70 = labor cost

so a max of 500 dollars?

or will it be more?

Default Cadet heaters

You may have to pay for only one service call at about $70-$ 95 if it is only a remove and replace. It should take less than 1/2 hour/heater if no other damage is done to the wiring. Have you got a notice from the company? If you did they may have recommendations and better to to have it direct billed/paid so no money out out your pocket. Hope this helps.

Unfortunately, if done incorrectly and a fire takes place the first question the insurance company is going to ask if it was done by a licensed electrician. The two professionals i instruct my clients to use are plumbers and electricians. This is small cost to bear compared to the damage caused by fire or water damage.
