Help! I can't seem to find a good way to declutter and organize my stuff. I have a one bedroom apartment with little space. Unfortunately, much of my stuff is in plastic crates/boxes. I'm trying to find a way I can go through my stuff and:

1.) Determine what I want to keep (I tend to be a hoarder), and
2.) Where in my apartment to store my stuff.

As an example, should I go through everything first and determine what I should keep and then decide on how to organize everything? Or perhaps another strategy?

The other problem I have is making sure I remember the process so that if I have to pick it back up again, say on the next weekend, I can remember where I was in the process.

Right now, it seems overwhelming so I haven't done anything which is even more frustrating.

Any tips/suggestions would be helpful.

Do a crate a day or week. If you do it all at once, it will be a big mess.

I'm always pruning. Getting rid of things.

There was a tv show called Neat on hgtv. I think she did a great job helping people declutter.
