I'm buying a 736 sq foot ,CO OP apartment in Staten Island Ny , and it needs major renovation . How much would it cost to gut an Apt, that 736 sq . Also , needs new wooding floors , 4 windows , sliding door, Bathroom , Kitchen .I have hole in the walls .

If some could give me idea of what could be the cost. . Thank you,

The better way to look at this- Is it worth it?

What you're buying for versus what its worth (the comp's)- the difference is your budget.
If the budget won't cover the cost for your "wish list", it's not worth it.

And whatever prices get quoted here can be all over the board-
Start with this-
Cost vs. Value 2014 | Middle Atlantic Region | Remodeling

The other thing to consider cost wise- CO-OP's bring other headaches with them- you may have to grease a few palms to get things done.

You are really best to find someone else in the building who has done this. Then ask them what it cost.

It could be there is no parking and the workmen circle around for two hours each day and add that to the cost.

Somewhere else may be located 2 blocks from the workmen's office and have a big empty parking lot - easy access to do their work.
