Hi all,
I have a Bissel upright vacuum cleaner that is about 6 years old. For quite some time now I have noticed that there is barely any suction at the bottom. However, when I use the hose separately, the suction is very strong (as it should be). I checked and there is nothing hindering airflow from the area where the hose goes to the bottom part (~10inches).

Any ideas what might be wrong?

Air is escaping somewhere. Start by looking at the bottom of the vacuum and follow it up and look for cracks and turn it on and listen for air escaping. I'd take it apart and inspect it.
