1) I haven't paid yet for either the Roof or Gutters.
2) we had, and the roofer agreed, that we were getting a gutter Traditional Blue. We had the paint done first - in the same color as the -to-be-installed gutter
3) gutter people show up and install a gutter (Green) that should of been fricken obvious wasn't the right color.
My stance so far is. . hey I ordered Blue, you install blue.
I feel its a little shady. . I mean the guys had to intentionally put up the wrong gutter, the color isn't even close.

am I asking too much?
what would you do
Tell them to put in the blue. It's a custom order so you should get exactly what you picked out.
I agree with Rabrrita, what does your contract say? If no color was specified, then you can argue based on principles but really have no legal bearing. If the color was stated on the contract then you have a valid case and the contractor should adhere to the re-work.
If the painter isn't licensed or bonded, at least in our area, he doesn't even need to be paid anything until the work is done correctly.
If you have a licensed contractor with a valid contract then you go by that contract. Otherwise the painter is SOL.
They should not say a word except SORRY SIR! Our mistake, we will fix it with a quickness.
They have a LOT of nerve to do something like that and expect you to accept it!
Hint: When in business, it goes a long way to make your customers happy. Then they say good things about your business - you in turn get more business...
Did you not point it out the minute you saw it? Or were you not home during the installation?
I doubt you would order a red car but just accept a silver car they brought out.
