I've done all that. The only ones I can find are the hand-made ones that aren't so durable. I actually already have one but it started to crack at the handle because it's more ornamental than for use.
I have a 1 gallon plastic pitcher and the water isn't that heavy. I just want to get away from the xenestrogens from using plastics for drinking water.
If anyone finds one for sale (I've done an exhaustive research) then let me know. I also would like a 4 liter glass pitcher, since 4 liters is almost the same as 1 gallon.

Yep, because it's too heavy.
Just refill your the half-gallon version more times and call it exercise.
The largest I've seen is about a half gallon. Try Crate & Barrel or the Container Store.
I have a gallon glass jar that I make sun tea in... Got it at the grocery store and it has a little spout at the bottom so you don't have to lift the the bottle to serve your tea.

Thanks for the help everyone!
They crack cuz water is HEAVY!!
Water of 1 gallon weighs about 8.3 pounds. In a glass pitcher, with the pouring, the weight and stress on the handle...it will crack! Physics and all that. It's an amazing thing.
Get a 2 quart pitcher. Refill it more often. Or get a 1 quart mason jar to use as a glass and fill it each time you empty it. If you drink 2 of those a day, you will be getting a good amount of water!
To narrow it down: when you get to the one gallon size in glass, it is no longer a pitcher, it is a beverage dispenser and there are many to choose from here:
thanks, last time i looked there was only the $60 option, which I already have, and since it's hand blown it's not sturdy for every day use to hold the 8.3lbs which is the weight 1 gallon of water, the handle will start to break (or at least it has on mine.)
btw, 8.3lbs is not heavy, it's about the weight of two medium sized laptop computers, not going to be tough for anyone over the age of 10 years old.
