My bedroom ceiling light quit working, I changed the light bulb, and it still doesn't work.
Other fixtures and lights on the same circuit still work.
Would the light switch be faulty?

Could be that, ot could be the little brass tab is just mashed down into the socket so far that it doesn't make proper contact. Switch the circuit off, switch the switch off, then bend the end of a paper clip at a right angle to the clip, reach in with the clip and lift the tab in the center of the socket up about 1/4"
Note that before doing this you have BOTH the circuit breaker and switch off. That should satisfy the nannies.
Change the bulb again. It could be burned out or bad filament
