We live in La Crosse, WI, in an apartment. We've been living in the area for 4 months and we've never had any bug problems. I found two of the same bugs tonight and I've never seen them before and can't figure out what they are. They were round, about the size of a quarter, gray color, long legs. I killed both of them and when I did, they let off a distinct odor when smashed. Neither tried to run or move when I came at them with a paper towel. One was in the hallway by the bedrooms and the other by the dining room, neither were by the pantry or kitchen.

Does anyone have any input as to what these bugs may be? Why we have been getting them today? How do we make them go away?

What area are you from? If it is a warm area it might be stink bugs but I don't know if they get a size of a quarter. Since moving to WV they are here and even though it is winter we had a warm spell and I found a couple in the house again. They move really slow. Here is a site to help you see if it is a stink bug, I know the ones I have around here are grey in color.

What's That Bug: Stinky
