I live in San Diego and have a vinyl pergola. Need ideas for how to cover it. The cheaper options are corrugated sheets but is it ok to drill holes into the vinyl ? I already see a few holes on the underside -- where the previous owner has installed light fixtures and a surveillance camera.
I would install the corrugated sheets with a slight pitch to move water away from the house walls.
The more expensive options seem to be installing fabric canopies .. as seen here
