Roofer are scheduled this week. We are replacing the old oil burning furnace with an electric heat pump. Can we get rid of the roof chimney/vent for the oil burning furnace, or does the new electric system need it?

I need to know if I can tell the roofers to patch up the hole when they replace the roof this weekend.
