LOL never really thought about it but my master bath has a separate toilet room with a door, no mirrors in the toilet room and other bathrooms in my house do not have a mirror opposite or behind the toilet. Ewww...hahaha
When we bought our retirement home they had full mirrors on three sides. My spouse said we had to take them down because some "old lady" keeps showing up in them! Replaced them with oval mirrors over the sinks.
I think I have been in a hotel once or twice, thinking to myself, "Why the eff would someone put a mirror directly across from the toilet I am sitting on?"
On our annual vacation at the beach, we stayed in a condo one year that had the laundry room in the main bathroom. The laundry area could be closed off with bifold doors. Yep, the doors were mirrored. My first trip to the bathroom was so creepy that for the duration of our stay, those doors stayed open. Far better to look at the washer/dryer when I'm taking care of business.
