Do any of you have recommendations for smoke detectors? I want to use the ones that have lithium batteries that last ten years without changing batteries. I am extremely frustrated with the 9 volts that always go off at 2 in the morning, and the battery is so stupidly placed which makes it difficult to change or disconnect. If you do, what is a good price for one? Thanks for your help.

The answers in your question. Purchase the ones at HD, Lowes, Ace that have the 10yr sealed battery installed. Problem solved, for 10yrs at least.

If it's possible, get one hard wired , less problems and less false alarms.
