One Cup Coffee Maker to Drip: Have you switched (heat, sink, steel)

What was your reasons you changed~? I had numerous of issues with the K-Cup and have taken it back numerous of times, so I switched to the Starbucks coffee maker. Now I've gone back to the drip coffee maker~!
Neither, we use a home espresso maker for our daily coffee.
We have a Keurig and a drip Mr. Coffee, though. Usually, for guests!
I think the Keurig is a fairly inefficient luxury, never would have bought one for ourselves, it was a gift!
I've sampled coffee from the Keurig several times at friends' and relatives' homes. It's a very expensive way to make coffee, but it seems to be a hit with many folks. It's not a hit with me, however. I still like my old Cuisinart drip coffeemaker. I just prefer the taste of a good, strong drip coffee. It's far cheaper to grind your own beans and use a drip coffeemaker, and I like the richness of the resulting brew.
I went back to my all steel & parts French Press five years ago, very happy not sure why we ever left it! ~We owned three Keurig K-Cups, plus the three Keurig I did owned all died withing a year, yes Costco was great about replacing them on the spot at no cost in the end gave us our money back and said it was common problem Keurig K-Cups just up and dying, something with the heat elements! .. We did to monthly scaling as well.. Plus with all the health concerns with Keurig K-Cups I'm happy it's gone!
My advice if your a coffee lover person type and cannot go a day without then buy from Costco because they replaced on the spot, otherwise you have go through the mail deal and wait! ...
We ditched our Keurig about a year or so ago and went back to a simple Cuisinart drip model. No regrets. K-cups are expensive and wasteful, and I could never get a cup of coffee that was strong enough for my tastes. Plus, our Cuisinart is much small/sleeker than the Keurig and looks better on the counter.
There's too much unnecessary packaging and waste with a single cup Keurig and the like.
We also have drip that will do a whole pot or a singles with it's own basket. You can use the Keurig style pre packaged coffee or a screen basket with regular coffee. I'm sure the Keurig must come with the similar basket. Don't like using it because some of the grounds end up in the sink and subsequently the septic.
