I had new gutters installed on my house a couple months ago . I was doing yard work and noticed that they are bulging in multiple spots. I immediately called the company and the guy came out and tried installing some hooks to pull them back , but they are still bulging. The company said it is because of cold/hot weather.
Should they be doing this? They said they would replace them, but it may do it again? I do not understand. I want straight gutters .
What is the fascia board they are attached to made of? The new PVC boards that are often used expand and contract more than the gutter and may be causing the issue.
Looks like the money saving gutters they used at our church. Despite my warnings, they used plastic guttering anyway. My money is on it being plastic. If you don't like 'em now, wait another 6 months. I'll be replacing our church gutters from my pockets this summer and it won't be with plastic crap.

I think I will request it to be redone with better materials. What material do you recommend?
that is NOT normal and I'll bet those are not aluminum gutters. If they are plastic you are never going to be happy with the result.
I repeat -- that is NOT normal
Could it be that they're supposed to have some kind of support framework or something? Why would anyone make gutters out of cheap thin material if they know in advance they're always going to look damaged everywhere they're installed? It seems to imply they're intended to have something else, such as maybe a cover mesh or something, that helps hold them together.
They said they will redo them. Should I suggest a different material?
That was a typo on my part- they should NOT do that!
The first thing is what material are those made from? I could certainly see plastic doing that, but I didn't see any seams in the pic's; so I assumed they were "seamless aluminum". If in fact they are it stands to reason that they used thinner material than should be used for that size gutter (again, assuming 6" gutter).
