While this may be less significant issue for a house that is only 30 years old, but it's better to keep the existing door, than end up with a new door that doesn't quite fit the look of your older house.

What exactly is wrong with the "door"? My deadbolt eventually failed after getting harder and harder to turn because the house gradually settled and the door became off from level.

Find a "fix-it guy" and put together a list of several little things you've been needing to get fixed and have them check out the door as well. Cheaper and it's probably not a major deal that will take a lot of money.
