Hi! I'm looking for trim paint color suggestions that would harmonize with the house color (mushroom), gutter color (dark brown), and the natural wood front door (red oak).

The current gold color of the trim doesn't work. I don't know the name/maker of the original colors. Thanks for any insights!

Same color as the gutters. It will make the entry stand out. I'd also change out the storm door to a full glass/screen in brown to show the front door. It is washed out with a white door.

Smile Brown Trim will make your house look smaller

I would try and match the color of your home. Brown and gold trim are outdated. If you want the home to look bigger, try matching the trim with the color of the home or go with trim just a little darker than the color of the home.

The gold is okay but I think some contrast would be more attractive, so what about using the chocolate brown color of the gutters as your trim? I can't tell from the photo but I'm assuming the gutters were chosen to complement the roof color?

Get some color cards from Sherwin Williams, and match the mushroom. It looks like a cool neutral to me. Once you find the mushroom, use SW coordinated colors to find compatible combinations. I agree, the warm gold color doesn't work.

Is there any way you could lose the storm door? It really detracts from the entry.

Since this thread has gotten a lot of differing responses I went back and took a really close look at the pic again (I'm not vearing far from my original post).

Correct me if I'm wrong but from the picture it would appear that there a "3" trim colors on the house RIGHT NOW!
There's the obviously hideous gold color, all the corner boards, soffit, and fascia, are the same color, then there's the trim/brick mold around the door unit, windows, and the vent above the garage door; making a third color(?)

This IS NOT the way to do a 3 color scheme. There a body color (the siding), trim color (that's ALL the trim- corner boards, brick mold, fascia, soffit, garage door and trim), and an accent color (which is usually shutters and the door).

Having the bronze gutters and downspouts is an accent- but don't paint the "trim" to match- let it stand on its own.
