when it comes to HVAC, you want reputation, you want a company with "son" in names. something with a office that been there 20 years, 20 work trucks and somebody that still be there 25 years down the road to service your hvac. brand names really not much differents, you want a company that stand behind their work and will make service calls on weekends
find the biggest ad in phone book, most trucks, been in business over 40 years, and that be your company, then buy what ever he sells. it will be a rheem, bryant, a big name brand
Maybe I am wrong, but I though almost all brands of AC/Furnaces come with 10 year warranties on the equipment...every single part. The labor isn't included, but still.
Heh. Reminded me of a furnace i had repaired. Cost me $250 in labor but the $2 part was under warranty. Lol. Parts are cbeap. Paying someone who knows what part is bad...... is expensive.
Lennox has a history of unconventional designs and methods for which they've caused undue indigestion to a good many service folks.
Fortunately, the pulse product is no longer supported. The goodbye party was epic.
I actually liked the pulse furnaces. There are some commercial boilers that are still going strong today and very much in demand due to their efficiency. The problem is that people dont know how to fix them and never did the required maintenance.
I do design work for Trane and Carrier equipment. However I prefer low end equipment such as Goodman or Rheem. It lasts just as long and is a heck of a lot cheaper to fix. Parts for Trane are EXPENSIVE and only available to certain Trane dealers.
