My Frigidaire 1.6 CU microwave just broke for the second time in 2 years. First the door handle broke, now the door sensors are not working. This not a repair I want to tackle on my own and its not worth it to pay someone to fix it.

I'm trying to decide on a replacement unit, but I don't feel I can trust online reviews of products any longer. There is just too much bias out there and no way to confirm the authenticity of reviews. So I thought I would ask the fine folks on this forum. I have a standard sized range and space for a typical under cabinet mounted microwave. What do you have over your stove and do you like it? More over, how long have you had it?

I have a GE Profile Microwave/Convection over the range that I've been using for about 11 years now. It was not cheap (about $700) when I got it.

The only repair I had over the year was a burn out display light, I DIY it so it wasn't too bad. Other than that just a few light bulb changes over the year.

I have a Bosch.
I hate it.
I hate all microwaves over the stove. But, it was installed by the builder.
I hate it because it is too close to the burners.
I hate it because it does not vent well.

We took it out to make room for a real vent. A small dorm microwave in a cabinet handles the few things we need.

Remodeled recently and used a 2.0 cu ft Whirlpool...I like it ok. However I do see how having it on the countertop would be better for spills. If something spills its going all over the range and probably down the sides.

I turned mine into a place to store my spices.

I also have one of these. I got it at Home Depot in early 2007 and, despite daily use for the past 9+ years, I've never had any problems at all with it.

All my appliances -- fridge (with in-the-door water dispenser), oven, dishwasher and microwave -- are GE and were bought at the same time -- early 2007. They are used daily and none have ever given me the least bit of trouble.

I have a GE as well. Frankly, I hardly use it. One thing I dislike about mine is the way the door opens, you really have to yank on it. No button to push to open it, just force.

Samsung black stainless convection. Don't use it much but love it, especially the aesthetics.
