Anyone know of a good solution ? I have wood window sills and they get very dusty and dirty. Cleaning them is a hassle and the wood is getting damaged. Are there any window sill protectors that can be placed on top? Something that is easier to clean than wood?
Or is there a good plastic I can buy that is heat resistant and I can cut to fit on the sills?
This stuff Xcel Products is pretty useful but hard to get. I have a couple dozen smaller sheets of it that I think were originally intended for furniture backing. Other more accessible products would the the end roll or scraps from sheet vinyl flooring (big box stores / paint & hardware stores / closeout stores) or some of the outdoor fabrics/vinyls at places like Joanne fabrics. Moisture is often an issue on sills, as the cold air falling off the windows can cause condensation in humid climates.
thanks for the suggestions... it seems window sills is where all the dust collects, maybe more so because i live on 1st floor and dust settles down...
