Guys,

I am looking for a good solution to hiding my well-head that protrudes in my yard. It is not the ugliest thing ever, but certainly could be dealt with. I do not want to plant bushes around as to avoid disruption to power and plumbing. Not very find of the fake rocks that fit over them. I thought about some real large stones but not so sure. What have you all done? Let me hear some ideas please!

I just have a large circular garden of lilies and irises around it. When they're blooming it's beautiful and masks the well head, and when they're not, the leaves still hide the well head. You really can only see it in the winter - and then the snow covers it up!

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm thinking some kind of landscaping will be in order as opposed to fabricated well or fake rock.

The problem with landscaping is that the roots may grow down and disrupt some of the plumbing or electrical components. I would only plant perennial flowering plants that you could easily pull out to correct a leak or investigate a problem. I have irises and knockout roses around a fake rock. Looks pretty nice actually, but I would never plant a typical shrub with strong roots.

Just be aware the your well will need service some day...........do not plant anything within 10 foot of the well.

I like the fake rocks........we do not know what years of sun baking PVC will do.

I had one of those for 23 years. Honestly, I just ignored it.
