my garage door installer is planing to install torsion spring at back instead of front on top of the closed doors, like showing in the picture, because not enough head room. I know can install extension spring but torsion spring generally better.

I was wondering if any cons of installing torsion spring at back? would it interfere installation of opener?

This type of track is not conducive to a regular overhead type of opener- however, its out of the question anyway due to the lack of headroom. The only type of opener that would work is a "jack shaft" type- but you still have to have a certain amount of side room.

Thank you for the reply

How bad is extension spring? Now my only option is extension spring, or torsion spring at back which, as you said , not conducive to a opener (not enough head room and not enough ride room for jack shaft). I always thought torsion spring is much better but I never used extension spring so I am not very sure.

Extension springs is all about the door-

A non-insulated steel door weighs practically nothing- easily doable.
Wood panel door- 8' or 9' will work adequately- 16' got to go torsion!
