My daughter has just moved into a new terraced house and wants to give it a New England fresh look in her living room.. She has some light furniture, cream sofas and a two door small glass paned large cupboard set into the wall ... the house belonged to an old couple and in need of work..so shes covered the walls in top of the range lining paper to give it a new wall appearance.. but needs ideas of lighting . rugs , flooring etc.

What does "New England fresh" mean to her?

And what is a terraced house, please? I am not familiar with that term!

I never associated New England with being light and airy or having white furniture. Maybe when near OG England, "New England" just means "Cape Cod" style? That is, the housing in the beach area of New England.
