Depending on the car, but in 1924 not many people had cars. In our area many people still had a horse and buggy. Many garage areas were converted from where they used to park the buggy. In 1924 milk, ice, bakery products were still being delivered by horse and buggy in some areas.

Cars got really big in the late 40's and 50's.

I can't even get my SUV in my garage. It's so filled with my husbands tools and doodads that there's no room for a car.

have a 2 car garage. a small 2 car garage... home was built fairly recently and isn't one of those big 2 car garages with tons of extra space. can only fit one car in there right now, but it isn't so much due to clutter as it is due to... that's how i like having it arranged.

i live alone and only have 1 car. the second stall functions quite well to hold my lawn mower, some shelves and drawers for tools, my workout equipment, and my bicycles.

We have a two car garage that holds a car and our pick up. My evil plan has hatched for a small she shed and a garden closet to make the garage clutter free next summer. I like things really stream line and clutter free. There really isn't much in the garage.
