I have an upstairs shower stall which seems to be leaking water into my kitchen downstairs. The leak appears to be from the drain, and I can't tell if it is pipes or water is leaking through the tiles on the floor, or the walls inside the stall. For those familiar, is this most likely going to be expensive?

I would call a plumber. I haven't had a leaking shower stall. But I, unfortunately, have had plenty of bathroom/bathtub leaks. I would check all of the caulking. In my experience, bathroom leaks come from the caulking deteriorating from around the inside or from the space on the floor between the flooring and the tub/shower. I'd definitely start with simple first.
Are you sure it's coming from the shower? I have a moisture meter. It's excellent to track water paths. Once I thought I had a leak from the tub and it was actually the water line to the toilet.
Probabilities are extremely high that the drain seal is bad. This is a common occurrence with shower stalls. The bill to fix it, assuming it just started leaking, will probably be just a few hundred bucks. The longer it goes on leaking, the higher the damage and repair bill.
