I have a 15 foot line of chain link that is on a decline. I mis judged the decline and the 1 line post in the middle is about 2 inches too deep. What is the best way to fix. I'm putting the chain link up as soon as the sun rises before the snow falls. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are all the posts cemented in, and if so when did you pour it? If the answer is less than 48 hours you might be able to put a pipe wrench on it to spin it out of the ground to the height you need.
Also if you plan on using a top rail, the rail cap may hide the difference, and none will be the wiser.

Unfortunately the concrete was poured last weekend. I already cut all of the top rails. I have the cap on, but on the gate side it's about an inch lower. On the end post nearest the house it's about 2 inches low. If I raise it any more on either side the cap pops off. Maybe they make an extended cap?

Then trench a line along the posts, drop the chainlink in and cut the rest of the posts to the lowest height post. Backfill and you are done. As long as you are not meeting up with another run no one will ever notice the height difference.

Edit: You can also measure the inside diameter (ID) and go to your local autoparts place to match up a short section of exhaust pipe to fit. Granted it's not as robust as the post itself, but should do the trick.

Edit #2: Like this pipe shown below. Notice the two different diameter at each end of the pipe.

Call in a portable welder and weld an extension on.

Genius. Thanks. The trench worked for now. In spring I'll doctor it up. Thanks again
