We have a German Shepherd, it's mandatory.
Sweep the stairs on downstairs day.
It's just automatic. I feel off if I miss a day.
I sweep the bathroom floor every night, because the cat's litter box is in there, and she tracks litter onto the tile floor, even though I have a litter-catching mat under the box.
I vacuum the rest of my condo (carpets and furniture) about once a week, more if someone is coming over and it's been a few days since the last time I ran the vacuum. As my daughter says, "It's all about floors when someone's coming over."
I run the vacuum, sweep and mop about once a week. Dust as necessary. My daily chores I insist on doing is cleaning the toilet and taking out the trash.
